IPL 2025 Players Auction List: 574 players shortlisted, only 204 will shine


BCCI has shortlisted 574 players for the auction, which includes 366 Indian and 208 foreign players.

IPL 2025 Players Auction List: The IPL 2025 Mega Auction will take place on November 24 and 25 (3:30 PM IST) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. BCCI has shortlisted 574 players for the auction, which includes 366 Indian and 208 foreign players. Whereas, 3 players are from Associate Nation.

318 Indian uncapped and 12 uncapped foreign players will be included in the auction. Let us tell you, out of 574 players, the luck of only 204 players is going to shine, out of which 70 slots will be for foreign players.

81 players will enter the auction with a base price of Rs 2 crore.

The maximum base price of players in the IPL 2025 mega auction is Rs 2 crore and 81 players will go with this base price. At the same time, the lowest base price is Rs 30 lakh, in which 320 players have registered.

Jos Buttler, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh and Mitchell Starc will enter the auction with a base price of Rs 2 crore. He has got a place in Set-1 of marquee players. While Yuzvendra Chahal, Liam Livingstone, David Miller, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj are in Set-2 with a base price of Rs 2 crore.

Due to the ongoing bad political relations between the two countries, the board has decided to take this step. However, now news is coming that the International Cricket Council (ICC), the biggest cricket body, has sought a written explanation from BCCI regarding not traveling to Pakistan in the upcoming tournament. So if the official source is to be believed, then the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had asked for a copy of the official reply of the Indian Board regarding the refusal to travel to its neighboring country. However, BCCI has so far only verbally informed the ICC about its decision. Till now BCCI has not submitted any written reply to ICC. The reason behind PCB seeking a copy of the response received from BCCI is to facilitate it in seeking sufficient evidence from India to justify its call of not playing the tournament if it is held in Pakistan. According to the tournament rules, the BCCI will have to give solid reasons for refusing to play in Pakistan, which will then be reviewed by the ICC for a final decision. South Africa kept on standby Also, for your information, let us tell you that after BCCI refused to play in Pakistan, the hybrid model proposed by ICC has been rejected by the Pakistan Cricket Board. According to this model, India can play its matches in a neutral venue like UAE or Sri Lanka. But if PCB does not accept the hybrid model then ICC can shift the tournament to South Africa. South Africa has currently been kept on standby. It will be worth watching that where and when will the tournament, which is returning after almost 9 years, be played?
