In the first T20 match played on 6 October, Team India defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets. Bangladesh players failed to leave their mark in this match. However, all the players of Team India performed strongly and played an important role in the victory of their team.
Not only this, Mayank Yadav and Nitish Kumar Reddy made their debut for Team India in the first T20 match played between these two teams. Mayank Yadav bowled brilliantly in this match, taking one wicket for 21 runs in four overs, while Nitish Kumar Reddy gave 17 runs in two overs and also played a brilliant inning of 16* runs for the team.

In this video, Nitish Kumar Reddy said, ‘Playing here after recovering from injury is a very memorable moment for me. I was very nervous but I told myself that I should not be afraid at all. When I came to know that I was playing my first international match, all the memories of the last 4 months came before my eyes.
It is a big deal for any player to play for Team India and at the same time it is like a dream come true for me. I was quite nervous but I feel really good. This is a very memorable moment for me and my family too.
Talking about the first T20, Bangladesh, batting first, scored 127 runs after losing all the wickets. Apart from Mayank Yadav, Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakraborty took three wickets each while Hardik Pandya and Washington Sundar took one wicket each. In reply, Team India won the match by losing three wickets within 12 overs.
Sanju Samson played an inning of 29 runs for the hosts while captain Suryakumar Yadav also scored 29 runs. Hardik Pandya contributed 39* runs. Team India is leading 1-0 in the 3-match T20 series. Now the second T20 between these two teams will be played on October 9 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
