England’s fast bowler Mark Wood has recently suffered an elbow injury. It is worth noting that Wood suffered this injury during the three-match home Test series against Sri Lanka last month. Wood’s injury is so serious that due to this he will not be able to play any kind of cricket for England till the end of 2024.

On the other hand, now the news is coming that if Wood wants to recover from this injury soon, then he will have to completely stop using his right hand. The veteran cricketer said that he has been advised not to lift his children with his right hand.

Let us tell you that recently Mark Wood said on BBC’s special program Test Match Special – I can’t really do much with my right hand. I have been told to stop lifting my children with my right hand. I have to do everything with my left hand.

Wood further said about the elbow injury- It was a different kind of injury. I had some pain in my back, and I got scans done due to a strain in the elbow, which is not uncommon for fast bowlers.

I thought maybe I would need an injection and I would be fine, but they scanned the elbow and found a strain. I was probably playing with it so much that it happened.

Regarding Mark Wood’s injury, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has confirmed that he wants to regain full fitness by early 2025. He is targeting England’s white ball tour of India and the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan, which will start in February 2025.
