Jasprit Bumrah IPL Stats: Indian cricket team’s star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is at fourth position in terms of taking most wickets among fast bowlers in IPL. In 2013, when John Wright was the coach of Mumbai Indians, Bumrah started playing for MI that season.

However, after this the player did not look back and contributed significantly in helping Mumbai Indians win five IPL titles. Apart from this, Bumrah is the first bowler to achieve number 1 ranking in all three formats of the game. He recently won the Player of the Tournament award for his excellent bowling in the T20 World Cup 2024. Because of this performance of Bumrah, India won the T20 World Cup title after 17 years.

So last month, before the mega auction of IPL 2025, Mumbai Indians had announced the retained players. Bumrah was Mumbai’s first choice for retention, and he was retained by the franchise for Rs 18 crore.

He was retained in the team for more money than captain Hardik Pandya and Indian T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav, to retain both of them, Mumbai had paid Rs 16.35 crore respectively. So this amount is more than the retained price of former captain Rohit Sharma of Rs 16.30 crore. Retaining Bumrah for Rs 18 crore shows his value in Mumbai’s dressing form.

Well, when Jasprit Bumrah plays for five-time champion Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025, he is going to get Rs 5.36 lakh for every ball he bowls. Let us tell you that till the time of writing this news, Bumrah has played a total of 133 IPL matches. During this period, the player has taken a total of 165 wickets at an average of 22.52 and economy of 7.30.
