The International Cricket Council has announced the winners of the ICC Men’s and Women’s Player of the Month (March 2024) awards. Kamindu Mendis won the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award.
Let us tell you, Kamindu Mendis had performed very well in the first Test of the ICC World Test Championship played against Bangladesh in Sylhet and played an important role in Sri Lanka’s victory. Kamindu Mendis has batted very well for Sri Lanka in international cricket so far and has won the hearts of many people. Not only this, the young player has also left his mark in bowling.
In the first Test against Bangladesh played in Sylhet, Sri Lanka’s score at one time was five wickets for 57 runs. However, after this the young player performed very well for Sri Lanka and played an important inning of 102 runs. He supported Dhananjay de Silva very well. After receiving this award, Kamindu Mendis said, ‘I feel very happy that I have won the ICC Men’s Player of the Month Award. This will give a new identity to my international cricketing career. Matt Henry and Mark Adair were with me in this list and both of them are also very good players.
Maia Boucher wins ICC Women’s Player of the Month (March 2024) award
England’s Maia Boucher won the ICC Women’s Player of the Month (March 2024) award. He performed very well in the five-match T20 series played against New Zealand in March and played an important role in his team’s victory. Maia Boucher had scored 223 runs at an average of above 55 in the five-match T20 series played against New Zealand.
