KCL 2024 Auction: M. Sajeevan Akhil became the most expensive player, Trivandrum Royals bought him for this many lakhs


The first season of the Kerala Cricket League will be played between 6 franchises from 2nd to 19th September at the Greenfield International Cricket.

KCL 2024 Auction: The Kerala Cricket League 2024 auction was held on 10 August at Hyatt Regency, Thiruvananthapuram. M. Sajeevan is the most expensive player sold in the auction. Trivandrum Royals placed a huge bid of Rs 7.4 lakh for M. Sajeevan. Let us tell you, the 33-year-old all-rounder from Ernakulam has played only 4 T20 matches so far.

Talking about the icon players, P.A. Abdil Basit (Trivandrum Royals), Sachin Baby (Kollam Sailors), Mohammed Azharuddeen (Alleppey Ripples), Basil Thampi (Kochi Blue Tigers), Vishnu Vinod (Thrissur Titans), and Rohan S. Kunnumal (Calicut Globestars) were selected before the auction.

KCL 2024 Auction: Varun Nayanar becomes the second most expensive player sold in the auction

Varun Nayanar is the second most expensive player to be sold in the auction, Thrissur Titans bought him for Rs 7.2 lakh. Players like Manu Krishnan, Salman Nizar, Ajnas M, Krishna Prasad, Vinod Kumar CV and Akshay Chandran were also sold in the auction for Rs 7 lakh, Rs 6.2 lakh and Rs 5 lakh.

Right-arm fast bowler KM Asif, who has played four matches for Chennai Super Kings. KM Asif was bought by Kollam Sellers for Rs 5.2 lakh.

168 players were shortlisted for the auction and each team can have a maximum of 20 players. The first season of the league will be played between 6 franchises from 2 to 19 September at Greenfield International Cricket.
