The 60th match of the IPL was played yesterday on 11 May between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians (KKR vs MI). In this match played at Eden Gardens ground, KKR defeated Mumbai by 18 runs. So in the same match, KKR bowler Varun Chakraborty had made a special plan to dismiss Mumbai opener and former captain Rohit Sharma.

Let us tell you that Varun had Rohit Sharma caught out by Sunil Narayan on a brilliant ball. Rohit was out in the match after scoring only 19 runs in 24 balls. Also, in the earlier matches also, Rohit did not perform well with the bat.

Varun had made special planning to get Rohit out.

Let us tell you that after the end of the match between Kolkata Knight Riders vs Mumbai Indians, Varun was quoted as saying by India Today – After taking this wicket, the celebration was coming out, because I had not taken the wicket of Rohit Bhai before. The wicket was really helping and I was able to take advantage of it. The plan was to bowl him (Rohit) across the line. I had made this plan and it proved successful.

Varun further said- Narayan and I talk to each other about bowling. We are both tactically different, but technically the same. Narayan bowls with the front of the hand and I bowl with the back of the hand. We keep talking about where we can improve. Eden Gardens ground is quite small. I am bowling the same as before and now I am getting results.

On the other hand, if we give you information about Varun’s performance in the match, he took 2 wickets for 17 runs in 4 overs. Also, after winning the match, KKR has secured a place in the race for the playoffs of the ongoing season.
