KL Rahul said that we could not play unitedly
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) performed brilliantly in their first two seasons and made it to the playoffs, but in IPL 2024, KL Rahul & Co. finished sixth in the points table. Despite winning by 18 runs against Mumbai Indians (MI), the team could not progress further in the tournament.
In the conversation after the match, LSG captain KL Rahul talked about the performance of this season. He said that at the beginning of the season he believed his team was a strong team. However, he said that injuries to fast bowlers Mayank Yadav and Mohsin Khan as well as the withdrawal of England fast bowlers Mark Wood and David Willey before the tournament due to personal reasons proved to be a big blow to the team.
We could not play unitedly – KL Rahul
KL Rahul said, at the beginning of the season I really felt that we had a strong team and most of the bases were covered. There were some injuries, which happens to every team every season. But those injuries and the guys that left really hurt us a little bit.
The wicketkeeper-batsman said that we did not play well together. When the bowlers bowled well, the batsmen did not bat well. We were not able to unite as much as we wanted.
