However, in August this year, Rahul came to Kolkata to meet Sanjeev Goenka, after which it seemed that everything was fine between the two. The LSG owner had also described the cricketer as a part of his family. Let us tell you, before the IPL 2022 mega auction, the franchise had included Rahul in the team for a hefty sum of Rs 17 crore.

LSG was ready to offer Rahul the top retention bracket, but Rahul decided to move on due to personal and professional reasons. At present, there are four franchises that have expressed their interest in him – Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Titans, Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings.

Talking about KL Rahul’s IPL career, he has scored 4,683 runs in 132 matches at an average of 45.47 and strike rate of 134.61. He has scored 4 centuries and 37 half-centuries so far. His highest score in IPL is 132, which he made against Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2020.
