Sourav Ganguly, while speaking to the Times of India recently, responded to the criticism and also demanded strict punishment for the culprit.

I don’t know what is being interpreted from what I said last Sunday. I have said earlier that such a crime is a horrible thing. Now the CBI and the police are investigating the case. Whatever has happened is a matter of shame. I hope that the CBI, which is investigating the case, will find the culprit and give him the harshest punishment.
