The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 is to be played jointly hosted by West Indies and America from June 1. BCCI announced the 15-member Indian team for this mega tournament on April 30. Veteran players are continuously seen giving their feedback regarding the Indian squad.
Regarding the Indian squad, former Sri Lankan player Kumar Sangakkara says that India has a balanced team, which includes good players in all departments.

Kumar Sangakkara believes that Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid will be able to play with two or three different combinations in the T20 World Cup 2024. Which will depend on whether they want more depth in their bowling or batting.
Speaking before the match between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024, Kumar Sangakkara said, ‘This is a very strong squad. They have got their batting covered, they have all-rounder players. He has very high-quality spin and he has a very good combination. Knowing the conditions there, I am sure Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma have a good idea of what the team should be like to play the desired cricket in the World Cup.
Kumar Sangakkara further said, ‘They will have two or three different combinations, depending on whether they want a deep batting line-up or more power in their bowling. But it is really a well-balanced team, a very strong team and India has always been very strong in international tournaments.

Three players of Rajasthan Royals – Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Yuzvendra Chahal have got a place in the Indian squad for T20 World Cup 2024. Avesh Khan is part of the Traveling Reserve. Speaking further, RR head coach Kumar Sangakkara said, ‘We’re very proud of those players, they’ve worked really hard. I can understand how he must have been feeling till the final announcement was made. A lot of credit should be given to the players. He played the IPL well, and it worked for him.
