Lance Morris was ruled out of Ashes 2023 due to injury. After recovering from the injury, he was included in the Australia team for the ODI series played against the West Indies in February. In this series, he made his international debut and also took wickets in the third match played in Canberra.

Lance Morris was also seen playing for Seattle Orcas in Major League Cricket but scans revealed that he was still having some back trouble and due to this the young player could not participate in Australia’s UK white ball tour. Lance Morris is currently in rehab and he himself has admitted that the whole task has been quite disturbing.

According to ESPNcricinfo, Lance Morris said, ‘It has been a bit challenging. I guess you can call it a stress fracture but when we did the scan, it did not look like a normal stress fracture. So there was a bit of trouble in the beginning as to what it was?

The surprising thing was that I did not have any back pain while I was bowling. I used to go to the doctor every month for a checkup and the MRI made it clear that I am moving in the right direction. I hope to become fully fit as soon as possible.

The last few months have been very difficult: Lance Morris

Despite being injured, Lance Morris has worked on his fitness. Lance Morris further said, ‘It is very disappointing that I have to stop for two months. Right now I am at that stage of my career that I have a contract with Cricket Australia and I have to get fit as soon as possible and return to the team.

The best part is that my fitness has been good and I feel stronger than ever. The bad part is that if I had ignored it, things could have been very bad.
