The last match of the league staged round in Legends League Cricket 2024 was played between Gujarat Greats and Konarks Suryas Odisha on 11 October. Batting first, Shikhar Dhawan’s team Gujarat Greats scored 141 runs at the loss of 8 wickets. In response, Irfan Pathan’s team Konark Suryas Odisha chased the target with 30 balls remaining and registered a spectacular victory by 7 wickets.

Captain Irfan Pathan, batting at a strike rate of 316.67, scored 19 runs in 6 balls, which included 3 sixes. Irfan Pathan, facing the first ball of his innings during the 14th over, hit a crushing six towards mid-wicket against Jerome Taylor. After this, Irfan could score only one run in the next two balls.

Then Irfan was trying to end the match in the 15th over bowled by S Prasanna. He pulled the fourth ball and hit a six towards mid-wicket. A run came on the fifth ball and the team won the match by sending the sixth ball into the stands.

Irfan Pathan’s team will face Southern Superstars in Qualifier-1

After defeating Gujarat Greats in the last match, Konark Suryas Odisha placed second in the points table with 3 wins and 8 points from 7 matches. The team will now face Southern Super Stars in the Qualifier-1 match. The Qualifier-1 match will be played on 12 October. Whereas, the eliminator will be played between India Capitals and Urbanrisers Hyderabad on 13th October.
