Bangladesh’s best fast bowler Shoriful Islam is going to join the Kandy Falcons franchise of Lanka Premier League 2024 very soon. Shoriful will replace Pakistan’s Mohammad Ali, who is out of this important tournament due to injury.

Let us tell you, Shoriful Islam was seen playing for Colombo Strikers in the fourth season of the Lanka Premier League. Now the brilliant fast bowler will play for Kandy Falcons in the upcoming season and will join this team on 3 July. Bangladesh’s Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman and Towhid Hridoy are also playing in the Lanka Premier League 2024. Experienced fast bowler Taskin Ahmed is part of the Colombo team while Dambulla Sixers have included both Mustafizur Rahman and Towhid Hridoy in their team.

Kandy Falcons had to face defeat against Colombo in their last match. Kandy defeated Dambulla Sixers by 6 wickets in their first match while the team had to face defeat by 51 runs in the second match against Colombo. Now Kandy Falcons have to play their next match on 6th July in which Shoriful Islam can also be seen in the team’s playing XI.

Shoriful Islam was also part of the Bangladesh squad for the recently concluded ICC T20 World Cup 2024. However, he did not get a chance to play even a single match.

Shoriful Islam is now all set to make his mark in Lanka Premier League 2024

Recently, Taskin Ahmed, who is the best fast bowler of the Bangladesh team, apologized for missing the match against India on June 22. The Bangladesh Cricket Board confirmed that Taskin Ahmed had slept late due to which he missed his team bus.

The official told Cricbuzz, ‘It is true that Taskin Ahmed joined the team later and he missed the bus. But why he is not playing, only the coach can tell you. Only the head coach can answer you this.’

Currently, Shoriful Islam is all set to make his mark in the Lanka Premier League 2024. Even though he may not get a chance to play in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, he would like to present his best performance to the world in this great tournament.
