Pakistan spin bowler Shadab Khan found form in his first match for Colombo Strikers in the Lanka Premier League 2024 season. The leg-spinner took the first hat-trick of his T20 career in this match and took 4 wickets for 22 runs against Kandy Falcons at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka on Tuesday, 2 July.
Shadab Khan became the second bowler in Lanka Premier League history to take a hat-trick after Wanindu Hasaranga. Shadab won the Player of the Match award in his first match of the LPL 2024 season. His brilliant spell led Colombo Strikers to a 51-run win. Shadab also contributed 20 runs in 17 balls in batting.
In this match, Colombo Strikers batted first and scored 198 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. After this, Shadab Khan, who came to bowl the last over of his spell against the team of Kandy Falcons chasing the target, took the wickets of Hasaranga, Aga Salman and Pawan Ratnayake as a hat-trick. Apart from the hat-trick, Shadab also took the wicket of Kamindu Mendis.

Shadab Khan’s performance in T20 World Cup 2024 was disappointing
