Former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has taken legal action against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Biswas of Arka Sports and Management Limited. The case, filed in a Ranchi court, pertains to an agreement between Dhoni and Diwakar made in 2017 where their aim was to set up a global cricket academy.

Arka Sports was successful in meeting the directive terms of the agreement which included payment of franchise fees and profit sharing. Despite repeated attempts to resolve the matter and several legal notices sent by Dhoni, the terms of the agreement have not been fulfilled. This is why on August 15, 2021, he canceled the charter of Arka Sports.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has claimed that he has suffered a loss of over Rs 15 crore due to fraud and non-compliance by Arka Sports. Apart from this, one of his close friends Simant Lohani has filed a complaint against Mihir Diwakar accusing him of threats and verbal abuse after legal proceedings against Arka Sports.

In June 2023, Mahendra Singh Dhoni had to undergo knee surgery. After this, Dhoni was in Ranchi and there he was trying to improve. Chennai Super Kings was captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the Indian Premier League 2023 and he played an important role in his team winning the trophy.
