Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh in the third T20 match played at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet on 9 March. In this match, all the players from Sri Lanka performed very well and played an important role in the victory of their team. With this, Sri Lanka won the three-match T20 series by 2-1.

However, during the match, Bangladesh wicketkeeper Liton Das brilliantly ran out Sri Lanka’s best player Dasun Shanaka. Liton Das’s way of running out was very similar to that of former Indian team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Talking about the match, Sri Lanka, batting first in the third T20, scored 174 runs losing 7 wickets. On behalf of the team, Kusal Mendis batted very well and played a match-winning innings of 86 runs with the help of 6 fours and 6 sixes in 55 balls. He did not spare any Bangladesh bowler and hit hard against all of them.

In reply, Bangladesh was all out for 146 runs and lost the match. Rishad Hussain scored 53 runs on behalf of the team. He hit seven sixes in his innings but the young player failed to lead Bangladesh to victory. In this match for Sri Lanka, Nuwan Thusara took 5 wickets for 20 runs in four overs. Not only this, Nuwan Thusara also took a hat-trick against Bangladesh in the third T20.
