Marcus Stoinis broke 13 years old record
Marcus Stoinis has played the best innings in IPL history. He single-handedly won the match for Lucknow team. With this victory, Lucknow team has reached fourth place in the points table. Lucknow has defeated Chennai for the second consecutive time this season. Earlier, Chennai had lost to LSG in Lucknow. Now Lucknow has won Chepauk also.
In this match, Marcus scored unbeaten 124 runs on 63 balls, in which he hit 13 fours and 6 sixes. This is Marcus’s highest individual score in IPL history. With this he has also broken the 13 year old IPL record. The record of scoring most runs in the second innings in IPL is now in the name of Marcus Stoinis.
Earlier, Paul Valthaty had played an unbeaten inning of 120 runs against Chennai in 2011. Whereas Virender Sehwag had played an inning of 119 runs against Deccan Chargers in 2011. Sanju Samson is also included in this list. He played an inning of 119 runs against Punjab in 2021. Shane Watson played an unbeaten inning of 117 runs against Hyderabad in 2018.
