Despite his condition being stable, doctors have advised Mayank to take rest for 48 hours.
On Tuesday, January 30, a worrying news came out about Indian cricketer Mayank Agarwal. Reports said that Mayank had trouble in his mouth and throat as soon as he boarded the plane, after which he was admitted to a hospital in Agartala, the capital of Tripura. However, now he is said to be out of danger and his condition is better at present.
However, even though his condition is stable, doctors have advised him to take rest for 48 hours. During this time, it will be difficult for him to speak due to ulcers and swelling. Meanwhile, Karnataka team manager Ramesh has confirmed Mayank Agarwal’s return to Bengaluru, where he will be under the observation of doctors.
Karnataka team manager Ramesh was quoted as saying by India Today, “We were about to take off when Mayank felt thirsty. So he drank the water kept in the seat pocket in front of the seat. After a few minutes Mayank felt a burning sensation in his throat and vomiting. He immediately informed the air hostess and went to the washroom near the cockpit.
He further said, the air hostess immediately rang the emergency bell and checked if any doctor was available on the flight. Unfortunately, there was no doctor, so the pilot was informed and a message was sent to the airport authority. Then the doctor came to see Mayank and said, we cannot give first aid here. He needs to be admitted to hospital.
