Former Australian opening batsman and bowler David Warner and Mitchell Johnson have played cricket together for a long time. Johnson and Warner, who have played 80 international matches together in the Australian playing eleven, have been part of the team together in many historic victories.

However, outside the field the pair does not seem to be anything special. Both have often been vocal about each other. So in his column written for a newspaper, Johnson had even called Warner’s wife, who was constantly defending him, cringe.

After this Warner had some words about Johnson. After this, Johnson wrote a scathing article about Warner’s role in the 2018 Sandpapergate case. On the other hand, now that both have retired from the game, the duo is going to be seen working together again.

It is noteworthy that the broadcasters have signed contracts with both the legendary players for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series between India and Australia starting from November 22. Johnson will be seen commentating for Cricket 7 and Warner Fox Cricket. On the other hand, before facing each other in this series, Johnson has said that he is hopeful that his differences with Warner will be resolved.

Mitchell Johnson gave a big statement

Let us tell you that before BGT, Johnson was quoted by The Nightly as saying – We are adults, and you have to move on. You live your own life. We meet each other sometimes. So according to me I am an adult, he (Warner) is an adult. You wish each other well as you have a great day. So, I don’t take much from one incident.

Johnson further said – This is no longer about us, now we are in the commentary box, we are there to give information. In recent times, I have also given an insight regarding that. He is one of those characters who becomes difficult. But you say what you feel. He’s a former player now, he’s in the commentary box like everyone else, and I think he should be able to give insight.
