During a special conversation with Star Sports at the IPLOnStar event in Ranchi, former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar once again explained why he is such a big fan of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Meanwhile, Gavaskar again remembered the moment when MS Dhoni signed his jersey. He told that, the T-shirt signed by Mahendra Singh Dhoni is still kept with pride at the house of former captain and TV commentator Sunil Gavaskar.

What does a fan want? The fan wants to meet his hero, talk to him, try to get his autograph, even take a picture. The whole team was milling around the stadium (Chepauk) as they had to go somewhere else for the knockout games, so I thought it was a good time to get his autograph as I am his biggest fan.
The former cricketer further said that, I admire his cricket, his attitude and his behaviour. When you are a role model, it is your responsibility to treat everyone well and be a good role model. And he is a very good role model. And the way he behaved decently, I went to him and requested him and I am very happy that he agreed to autograph my shirt. My shirt is still proudly displayed in my home.”
