My words were taken out of context: Nitish Reddy
“Maybe my choice of words was bad and it reached the fans in the wrong way and it was portrayed in the wrong way. You all know how big a fan I am of him. My intention was not to make any comparison.
“I expected to face criticism based on my performance if I failed or my form was bad. But I never thought that fans would create misconceptions against a person whom I idolise. I am extremely saddened to see this reaction of fans as my words were twisted and misunderstood. I understand how fast negativity can spread on social media, but it is still difficult to deal with.”
My parents suffered the most because of this: Nitish
“My parents have suffered the most because of this. My sister and mother were targeted in the comments, which made my father cry. I felt really bad to see him hurt. I sat with my family and explained how social media can twist things and how quickly things can be misinterpreted. They are feeling a little better now, but it is tough. I hope everything gets better soon.”
