Indian player Mandeep Singh will be seen playing for Tripura in the upcoming domestic cricket season. Mandeep shared the news of his separation from Punjab Cricket Association through social media on August 10. He made his first-class cricket debut for Punjab in the 2010-2011 Ranji Trophy season. He was one of the key players of the team since his debut.
Let us tell you, Mandeep made his debut for India in the T20 series against Zimbabwe in 2016, after the first series he never returned to the team. Mandeep is now 32 years old and the competition among the players to make a place in the team has also increased a lot.
As the age of players increases, questions start being raised on their fitness and skills. Mandeep Singh has strongly condemned these questions and made a big statement.

Mandeep Singh stressed that he is working hard on his fitness and also revealed his Yo-Yo test score to highlight his athletic abilities.
Mandeep while talking to ESPNcricinfo said,
When you turn 30, people start thinking that your career is ending. Last year I was not even selected in the IPL, I feel I have a lot of cricket left in me. I work hard on my fitness. Last year my score in the Yo-Yo test was 18.3. It is not that I am prolonging my career.
Punjab did not consider me a player of all three formats- Mandeep
Mandeep Singh also talked about why he decided to leave Punjab and join Tripura. He says that Punjab does not see him as a player of all three formats. Therefore, when he got an offer from Tripura, he decided to accept it.
I was beginning to think that I would not be considered as a tri-format player for Punjab. Many young players are coming and the team management might want to give them a chance. But, I want to play all three formats right now. So, when I got an offer from Tripura, I decided to accept it.
