Pakistan’s young fast bowler Naseem Shah recalled his T20 debut against India in the Asia Cup 2022 in Dubai. Naseem Shah said that it was really a very memorable experience that he made his debut in this format against a big team like India.

Let us tell you, Naseem Shah had bowled KL Rahul on his second ball of International T20. Not only this, Naseem Shah had also bowled very well against Virat Kohli and made Suryakumar Yadav his second victim. Naseem Shah took two wickets for 27 runs in four overs against India.

Speaking on Islamabad United Podcast, Naseem Shah said, ‘When Virat Kohli came to bat, I thought it would be a bit difficult. So I bowled him an inswinging ball. I thought the ball would hit his pads but he let it go. The next ball, I bowled him an out-swinger, which hit the edge of Kohli’s bat but missed the catch.

It was a very good experience for me because you are making your debut against a big team like India and unlike any other match, there is a lot of pressure on you. It felt good that I bowled very well in this match.

Naseem Shah said, ‘I have some good memories about my T20 debut against India. The competition between India and Pakistan is always very important. This was my debut match and I was very nervous. But the good thing for me was that I had played cricket before also. I played Test and ODI which helped me a lot.

Naseem Shah could not participate in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 due to injury. However, he will be seen playing in Pakistan Super League 2024 which is starting from today i.e. 17th February.
