During an event of Indian Express, when Jasprit Bumrah was asked about his favorite captain, he took his name and everyone present there was surprised to hear his answer. Bumrah captained the Test against England in 2022, while during his comeback in international cricket, he became the captain in the Ireland series. Apart from this, he does not have much experience of captaincy.

Bumrah replied, “My favorite captain has always been me. I have captained in some matches. Obviously there are many great captains, but I will take my name only.” During this, Jasprit Bumrah also highlighted what makes MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma great captains.

He revealed that Dhoni gave him a lot of security and he trusted his instincts. Virat Kohli is a passionate captain and has inspired everyone in the team to take fitness more seriously. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma is a captain who empathises with his players and understands their feelings.
