New Zealand cricket team’s experienced fast bowler Tim Southee is going to bid farewell to Test cricket after the upcoming three-match Test series against England. If the Kiwi team does not reach the final of the World Test Championship, then the third Test match against England in Hamilton may prove to be the last match of Saudi’s Test cricket career.

It is noteworthy that Saudi has taken 770 international wickets for New Zealand, which includes 385 wickets in Test cricket. Since his debut in 2008, he has been Trent Boult’s best partner with the new ball for New Zealand. This veteran player of the Kiwi team was also a part of the team that won the World Test Championship in the year 2021.

On the other hand, now Tim Southee has given a big statement regarding his retirement. Saudi says it is the right time to retire and against the team against which you started playing.

Tim Southee gave a big statement

Let us tell you that while talking to the media about his decision to retire from Test cricket, Tim Southee said as quoted by nzc.nz – Growing up, I had dreamed of representing New Zealand. It has been the greatest honor and privilege for me to play for the Blackcaps for 18 years, but now the time is right to step away from a game that has given me so much.

Saudi further said- Test cricket holds a special place in my heart, so to be able to play such a big series against the same opponent against whom my Test career started all those years ago, and on three grounds which is incredible for me. Are special in form. I find this the best way to end my time at Black Hat now.
