Aaron Hardie has a calf injury
Aaron Hardie is seen playing for Western Australia in the Sheffield Shield. He suffered a calf injury on the second day while bowling in the match against Tasmania. Initial scans have shown that the injury is not too deep and he needs to be careful. Due to which Aaron Hardie had to be ruled out of the T20 series against New Zealand.
Talking about Aaron Hardie’s injury, Western Australia coach Adam Voges told ESPN Cricinfo, ‘He has a calf injury, he needs to be a little careful. If needed tomorrow he will bat. Hopefully nothing serious happens.
Spencer Johnson chosen replacement
Australia Cricket Board has selected Spencer Johnson as replacement after Aaron Hardie was out of the squad. Mitchell Marsh will captain Australia in the T20 series against New Zealand. Matthew Wade is a part of the squad, but due to the birth of his first child, he will not be a part of the first match. Will join the team for the second and third matches.
