The first Test match between South Africa and New Zealand has started at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. The hosts have performed tremendously in the first Test of the two-match Test series. The first day of play between the two teams has ended and New Zealand has scored 258 runs losing two wickets.

By the end of the first day’s play, Kane Williamson and young batsman Rachin Ravindra scored centuries for New Zealand.

Talking about the match, in the first test, South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl first. He started very well in this match. Opener Tom Latham failed to play a big innings in the first Test and was out after scoring 20 runs in 48 balls with the help of four fours. Not only this, Devon Conway scored only one run in the first test. The hosts had lost two wickets for 39 runs, after which Kane Williamson and Rachin Ravindra batted brilliantly and so far have made a partnership of 219* runs for the third wicket.

By the end of the first day’s play, Kane Williamson has scored 112* runs with the help of 15 fours in 259 balls, while Rachin Ravindra has scored 118* runs in 211 balls with the help of 13 fours and one six.
