Tushar Arothe, former coach of the Indian women’s cricket team (Tushar Arothe) has been arrested by Vadodara Police for possessing Rs 1 crore in cash. This operation was conducted by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Vadodara Police on March 2, and during this search operation, a large amount of cash was found at the house of Tushar Arothe.

The raid was conducted by Vadodara Police after receiving information about suspicious financial transactions, and led to the recovery of a “grey bag” allegedly containing an amount of Rs 1.01 crore. Let us tell you, Tushar Arothe’s son Rishi is already embroiled in legal proceedings for fraud and betting in cricket, and now it is being said that both of them were involved in this case.

After such a huge amount was recovered in this raid, the earnings of the former coach of the Indian women’s cricket team and his family have come under doubt. Meanwhile, Tushar Arothe could not give any explanation and concrete information about the Rs 1 crore cash seized by Vadodara Police officials.

As a result, police officials have filed a case against the former cricketer and two others, Vikrant Raipatwar and Amit Janit, who had Rs 38 lakh in his possession. The action was taken in accordance with Section 102 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, which empowers the police to confiscate property linked to a crime. Let us tell you, this is not the first time that Tushar Arothe has had to face legal action.

Former coach was caught for betting in IPL also

He was one of 19 people detained in April 2019 for betting on Indian Premier League matches. However, he was later granted bail. Apart from coaching the Indian women’s team, she has played 51 List-A matches and 114 first-class matches for Baroda during her career.
