Aakash Chopra has praised Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) all-rounder Marcus Stoinis for scoring a match-winning century in his team’s IPL 2024 clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

CSK set a target of 211 runs for LSG after being asked to bat first in Chennai on Tuesday, April 23. After this, Stoinis scored unbeaten 124 runs in just 63 balls and KL Rahul and Company won by six wickets with three balls remaining.

Aakash Chopra praised Marcus Stoinis fiercely

In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra praised Stoinis for leading LSG to an impossible win and said that all Australian players get into form as soon as they hear the name of the World Cup.

Chopra said, “When LSG started the innings, Deepak Chahar dismissed Quinton de Kock in the first over. When KL Rahul got out to Fiz (Mustafizur Rahman), it seemed as if this team has tried four different batsmen at number 3. He sent Marcus. “Stoinis this time felt as if he found the impossible possible, he made the impossible possible.”

The former Indian opener said, “Marcus Stoinis batted commendably. He was playing shots using his force more than timing. The bowlers had no idea what he was trying to do. Why do all Australians get into form as soon as they hear the name of the World Cup? Maxwell, he is not scoring for Bengaluru (RCB), but he will also be hitting.”
