Today i.e. on 17th April, the holy festival of Ram Navami is being celebrated across the country. Lord Rama was born on the ninth day of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month in Tretayuga. It is told in the scriptures that at the time of the birth of Lord Ram, there was an auspicious sight of the Sun and 5 planets and between these special yugas, the son of King Dasharatha and Mother Kaushalya was born.
