He also displayed excellent bowling in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2024 and was also named Player of the Tournament for this. The coaching staff led by Rahul Dravid played an important role in managing Bumrah’s workload. As a result, India won the T20 World Cup title for the second time.

He said in an interview with Vimal Kumar, I don’t think I had to do much with him. I would love to say that I worked a lot on him as a bowling coach. What could be better than Bumrah performing and I take the credit? But I don’t do that. I have said it before… he is a once in a generation bowler. India has produced great bowlers, there will be more, but Bumrah is a once in a generation bowler in all three formats.

He said that whether it is Test, ODI or T20 International. He has extraordinary skills. He knows how to bowl well, his plans are clear. When I talk to him, I feel that his mindset is very clear and he knows what he is doing.
