In this match, Virat Kohli scored his first century on English soil. This was the fifth and last ODI match of the series. Team India was trailing 0-2 in the series and was playing only for honour.

This was the biggest partnership made by Dravid against England. Earlier, he had shared a 169-run partnership with Sachin Tendulkar in 2002.
The partnership between Kohli and Dravid was the fourth-highest partnership for any wicket by India against England at that time.
