15 years ago, on this day i.e. 30 November 2009, Team India’s legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar had made an incredible achievement in international cricket. Sachin Tendulkar became the first cricketer to complete 30,000 runs in international cricket. He achieved this feat during the India vs Sri Lanka Test match at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Sachin Tendulkar made this record in his name in the second innings of the first Test match played between these two teams and became the first international cricketer to do so.

Let us tell you that Team India had scored 426 runs in the first innings in this match. For the hosts, Rahul Dravid played an inning of 177 runs while Mahendra Singh Dhoni contributed 110 runs. In reply, Sri Lanka declared its first innings at 760 runs for 7 wickets. Mahela Jayawardene had scored 275 runs for Sri Lanka.

Sachin Tendulkar scored his 43rd Test century in this innings.

At the time of this achievement, Sachin Tendulkar had scored 1277 runs in Test cricket while he had 17,178 runs in ODIs. He scored 10 runs in the only international T20 match. The most important thing was that during this innings, Sachin Tendulkar had scored his 43rd Test century, due to which the match played between Team India and Sri Lanka ended in a draw.

Sachin Tendulkar made his international debut in 1989 at the age of 16 and retired from international cricket in 2013. Sachin Tendulkar has scored 34,357 runs in international cricket. He is the highest run scorer in international cricket. No player has yet been able to come close to his achievement. Sachin Tendulkar is also known as God of Cricket and many people consider him as their idol.
