After losing the first wicket in the beginning of the innings, Shan Masood and Abdullah Shafiq then took charge. Captain Shan Masood played brilliantly and completed his half-century in 43 balls. Whereas, in the 24th over bowled by Shoaib Bashir, Abdullah Shafiq completed his fifty in 77 balls, he completed his half-century in style by hitting a six on the last ball of the over.

Abdullah Shafiq lost his wicket against Ollie Pope in the 60th over. He tried to hit a big shot but Gus Atkinson took a simple catch at cover-point. Abdullah Shafiq played an innings of 102 runs in 184 balls with the help of 10 fours and two sixes.
