Currently, the five-match T20 series between Pakistan and New Zealand (PAK vs NZ) is going on. The first two matches of the series have been played, while now the third match of the series will be played between the two teams today, Sunday, 21st April. However, before the start of this match, the team has suffered a big setback. Let us tell you that due to injury, one player of Pakistan cricket team has been out of this series against New Zealand.

This player is out of T20 series

Let us tell you that wicketkeeper batsman Azam Khan has been ruled out of the T20 series against New Zealand due to injury. The 25-year-old cricketer is suffering from grade-one pain in his right calf muscle. After the radiology report confirmed the injury, the player was advised rest for ten days.

Regarding Azam Khan’s injury, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said in an official statement – At present, he has left the Pakistan cricket team midway and has left for Lahore. Here he will start the process of rehab under the supervision of the PCB medical panel at the National Cricket Academy.

Also, let us tell you that even before the first T20 match against New Zealand, Azam Khan had suffered a muscle strain. But after treatment he recovered to some extent. However, now Azam’s injury is serious and he is out of the T20 series against New Zealand. So till now PCB has not announced his replacement.

On the other hand, if we talk about the ongoing T20 series between Pakistan and New Zealand, till now two matches have been played between the two teams. After the first match was washed out due to rain, Pakistan won the second T20 match by 7 wickets. So today, on April 21, the third T20 match between the two teams will be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
