The Pakistan cricket team will be seen playing a lot of action-packed cricket in the coming time. Let us tell you that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the team’s cricket schedule for the 2024-25 season. Pakistan’s home cricket season will start with a Test series against Bangladesh, and after that it has to play Test series against England and West Indies respectively.
So this is going to be the busiest domestic season of red ball cricket for Pakistan in the last two decades. Before the upcoming season, Pakistan has never played so many matches. This time Pakistan will be seen playing a total of 7 Test matches at home, which are also going to be a part of the season of the World Test Championship.
Pakistan will host the Champions Trophy next year
It is worth noting that this time Pakistan has the right to host the Champions Trophy. This time the top 8 teams of world cricket will be seen playing in the multi-nation tournament. Pakistan cricket team is the defending champion of the tournament.
However, there is no clarity yet on whether the Indian team will go to Pakistan for this tournament. If Team India does not go on a tour to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, then its matches may be held in either Sri Lanka or UAE.
