Former Team India head coach and cricketer Rahul Dravid has reached Paris to support the Indian contingent in the ongoing 2024 Olympics.
Just a month after lifting the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy and ending his coaching stint with the Indian cricket team, former Team India head coach and cricketer Rahul Dravid has arrived in Paris to support the Indian contingent at the ongoing 2024 Olympics.
Dravid was spotted at the Stade Yves-du-Manoir stadium when the Indian hockey team faced Argentina in their second group stage match of the tournament. Dravid was seen cheering for Team India in the stands when captain Harmanpreet Singh scored the equaliser and India secured a point.

Before entering the stadium, Dravid left a special three-word message for the Indian hockey team, which won the hearts of Indian sports fans across the country. There was a wall of messages outside the stadium where everyone was writing something for their respective teams. Talking about the Indian hockey team, their match with Argentina was drawn 1-1. On the other hand, Team India started its campaign with a 3-2 win over New Zealand. India will face Belgium and Australia on 1st and 2nd August and before that it will face Ireland on Tuesday (30th July).
The Indian men’s team is looking to win consecutive medals in hockey after ending a 41-year drought with a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics. India will have to finish in the top four in the group to reach the quarter-finals and stay in the medal race.
