Jadeja played a brilliant inning of 43 runs in 26 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes. He lost his wicket against Arshdeep Singh while attempting a big shot in the last over of the innings.

It was a day game so the wicket was slow. It was expected to be slow as it was quite hot. Wanted to create a partnership of 30-40 so that we have a platform for the end. The bowlers bowled well. The wicket always looks flat in the powerplay. But as the ball gets older, it doesn’t come back well. When you are playing at a new place, you have no idea what the pitch will be like. Felt we were 15-20 short. If we lose early wickets my role is to build partnerships.
