A big news related to Pakistan cricket has come out. Pakistan’s legendary batsman Babar Azam has again been appointed captain of the white ball format (ODI & T20I). Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has given this responsibility to Babar after the recommendation of the selection committee. Shan Masood will remain the captain of the Test team.

Pakistan Cricket Board shared a video in which Babar Azam was seen sitting with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. While sharing the photo, PCB wrote, ‘The selection committee of Pakistan Cricket Board unanimously recommended making Babar Azam the captain of Pakistan cricket team in ODI and T20. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi accepted the recommendation and decided to make Babar the captain.

Babar Azam had left the captaincy of all three formats after poor performance in the ODI World Cup 2023 hosted by India. After that PCB made Shaheen Shah Afridi the captain of T20 format, while Shan Masood was given the command in Test. However, even after changing the captain, there was no improvement in the performance of the Pakistan team.
