Difficulties have increased even more for former Pakistan cricket team captain Imran Khan. Imran Khan has been sentenced to 7 years imprisonment. Actually, the latest decision is regarding his marriage with his current wife Bushra Bibi due to which questions are being raised about the timing of their relationship after their previous divorce.

The court has declared the marriage illegal. This is because Bushra Bibi was born during the Iddat period which is a condition for a woman to wait before remarrying after a divorce. The depth of Imran and his wife’s relationship was revealed in the court in which menstruation was explained in detail so that the Iddat period could be determined.

The lawsuit, initiated in 2023 by Bushra Bibi’s ex-husband Khawar Farid Maneka, gained momentum alongside Imran’s growing legal troubles. However, a twist was also seen in it. Maneka had already released a video in 2018 in which she cleared Imran of any role in their divorce.

Both Imran and Bushra Bibi were sentenced to 7 years in prison and fined 500,000 Pakistani rupees. Earlier, Bibi, implicated in the Toshakhana case, was serving her sentence under house arrest. Now they may have to face more problems.

Difficulties increased for Imran Khan

According to ESPNcricinfo, PTI said, ‘How many people are together bringing down one person? In this case, Imran Khan and his wife were not given the right to defend themselves, nor were the witnesses allowed to present their views. When this case goes to the Supreme Court, this decision will be rejected within 1 minute and thrown in the garbage.

Imran’s lawyer condemned the decision as shameful and baseless and tried to appeal the decision. This trouble happened a few days before the elections in Pakistan in which Imran Khan and PTI have been ousted. Political rallies have been hit by police interference, internet blackout and a ban on mentioning Imran’s name on TV.
