The two-match Test series between Bangladesh and South Africa is starting from October 21.
Former Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan was to play his farewell test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. Shakib was quoted by Sportstar as saying, “I had to return home, but now I don’t think I will be able to return. This is on a security issue, a matter of my own safety.
But now on October 20, about 50 protesters demonstrated for Shakib’s return home. However, taking immediate action the security personnel dispersed them. The protesters demanded Shakib’s inclusion in the Mirpur Test.
