“He has almost 300 Test wickets and has been playing white-ball cricket for South Africa for a long time. He has that experience and he is a champion bowler. He did not play consistently for Punjab last season. I don’t know what the problem was, whether it was a selection issue or some problem, but I am happy that Punjab has started with Rabada this season. This will definitely give them confidence going forward in the tournament.”
Kagiso Rabada’s performance so far in IPL 2024
In his season opener, Rabada conceded 36 runs in his four overs against Delhi Capitals, and took one wicket. On the other hand, against RCB, he bowled much better and took two important wickets of RCB captain Faf du Plessis and Australian Cameron Green while giving away only 23 runs in his quota. However, RCB lost in a last-over thriller in Bengaluru.
