Jammu and Kashmir captain Paras Dogra has made a spectacular achievement in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25. Paras Dogra has become the second highest run-scorer in the history of Ranji Trophy. He achieved this feat on 26 October. This match was played between Jammu and Kashmir and Services. Paras Dogra played an innings of 28 runs in 67 balls at the Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium in Srinagar.

During this inning, she broke the record of 9203 runs held by the then head coach of the Indian women’s cricket team, Amul Majumdar. Paras Dogra made his debut in 2001 and now he has scored 9210 runs in Ranji Trophy. The first place in this list is veteran player Wasim Jaffer who has scored 12038 runs in the history of Ranji Trophy. Apart from this, the top 5 highest run scorers in the history of Ranji Trophy are Devendra Bundela who has scored 9202 runs while Yashpal Singh has scored 8700 runs.

Paras Dogra has previously played for India A team. Not only this, the experienced batsman earlier played for the team of his state Himachal Pradesh, after which he shifted to Puducherry. Has scored runs in 135 first class matches at an average above 49, which includes 31 centuries and 33 half-centuries. While participating in the Ranji Trophy for Himachal Pradesh, he scored 6418 runs with the help of 19 centuries and 24 half-centuries.

Not only this, Paras Dogra was the first batsman from Puducherry in the history of Ranji Trophy to score a century. This season, Paras Dogra has scored 72 runs in four innings for Jammu and Kashmir. Among active players, Paras Dogra has scored the most centuries (30) in Ranji Trophy.
