The first semi-final of Ranji Trophy 2024 is being played between Vidarbha and Madhya Pradesh at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur. On one hand, Vidarbha needs four wickets to win this match, on the other hand, if Madhya Pradesh wants to win this historic match, they will have to score 93 more runs.

The last day of the game is going to be very important for both the teams. By the end of the fourth day of play in the first semi-final, Madhya Pradesh has scored 228 runs after losing 6 wickets. They need 321 runs to win this match.

On the fourth day of play, Vidarbha started their second innings at 343 by six wickets and scored a total of 402 runs. Yash Rathore batted very well for Vidarbha and played a brilliant inning of 141 runs in 200 balls. Yash Rathore hit 18 fours and two sixes during his innings.

Apart from Yash Rathore, Akshay Wadkar scored 77 runs in the second innings while Karun Nair contributed 38 runs. Dhruv Shroe played a valuable inning of 40 runs while Aman Mokhade scored 59 runs. For Madhya Pradesh, Anubhav Agarwal took five wickets while Kumar Karthikeya and Kulwant Khejroliya took 2 wickets each.

Madhya Pradesh needs 93 runs to win the match

Madhya Pradesh team is also still in the match. On behalf of the team, Yash Dubey scored 94 runs while Harsh Gawli contributed 67 runs. However, apart from these two batsmen, no other player has been able to score big. At the end of the fourth day’s play, Saransh Jain is batting on 16* while Kumar Karthikeya has not opened his account yet.

Vidarbha bowlers will look to bowl well on the fifth day of the game and also take the remaining four wickets of Madhya Pradesh.
