Currently, the final of Ranji Trophy 2023-24 is being played between Mumbai and Vidarbha at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Till now Mumbai has maintained its lead in this final match. The second day of play was entirely in the name of Mumbai.

By the end of the second day of the final of this season of Ranji Trophy, Mumbai had scored 141 runs after losing two wickets in their second innings. Ajinkya Rahane is batting on 58* runs in 109 balls with the help of four fours and one six, while Mushir Khan has scored 51* runs in 135 balls with the help of 3 fours. So far, both of them have made a partnership of 107* runs for the third wicket.

In this match, Mumbai had scored 224 runs after losing all the wickets in its first innings. In the first innings, Shardul Thakur scored 75 runs for Mumbai while Prithvi Shaw played an inning of 46 runs. Vidarbha failed to bat well in their first innings and were all out for 105 runs. For Vidarbha, Yash Rathod scored 27 runs while Atharva Tayde scored 23 runs. Aditya Thackeray contributed 19 runs while Yash Thakur played an inning of 16 runs.

For Mumbai, Dhawal Kulkarni, Shams Mulani and Tanush Kotian took 3 wickets each while Shardul Thakur took 1 wicket.

By the end of the second day’s play in its second innings, Mumbai had scored 141 runs after losing 2 wickets.

In the second innings, Prithvi Shaw failed to bat well and was out after scoring 11 runs. Not only this, Bhupen Lalwani also scored only 18 runs. After the fall of two wickets for 34 runs, Mumbai captain Ajinkya Rahane and Musheer Khan batted very well and have put the team on a strong position.

So far, Yash Thakur and Harsh Dubey have taken one wicket each from Vidarbha. Mumbai has taken control of the match and if Vidarbha has to make a comeback in this, then they will have to dismiss Mumbai batsmen as soon as possible.
