The second and last match of the two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh was played at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. India won this test match by 7 wickets and won the series 2-0. In this match, Ravindra Jadeja has wreaked havoc and taken three wickets. He took three wickets in Bangladesh’s second innings on the fifth day of the match.

Ravindra Jadeja first sent Bangladeshi captain Nazmul Hussain Shanto (19), then Liton Das (1) and Shakib Al Hasan (0) to the pavilion. His total number of Test wickets has reached 303. Jadeja had touched the figure of 300 during Bangladesh’s first innings. He achieved this feat by dismissing Khalid Ahmed. With this, Jadeja has become the first left-arm Indian spinner to take 300 wickets in Tests.

Let us tell you that, before Jadeja, Anil Kumble (right-arm leg spinner), R Ashwin (right-arm off-spinner), Kapil Dev (right-arm fast bowler), Harbhajan Singh (right-arm spinner), Ishant Sharma ( Right-arm fast bowler) and Zaheer Khan (left-arm fast bowler) have taken more than 300 Test wickets. Jadeja is the latest bowler to get entry in this list and he is the first left arm spinner. After Jadeja, Bishan Singh Bedi comes next and he had taken 266 wickets.

He became the 11th player to complete 300 wickets and 3000 runs in this format. At the same time, he is the third player from India to do so. Before Jadeja, former Indian team captain Kapil Dev (434 wickets and 5248 runs) and veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin (522 wickets and 3422 runs) have achieved this feat.

In the second innings, Jadeja bowled brilliantly and pushed Bangladesh on the backfoot. Jadeja took 3 wickets for 34 runs in 10 overs. Due to which Bangladesh collapsed for 146 runs in the second innings. Now a target of 95 runs was set for India to win, which India easily achieved with 7 wickets in hand.
