Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya (Hardik Pandya) recently narrated a memorable anecdote of his first meeting with Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. The Mumbai Indians (MI) captain also revealed that when he met ‘Big B’ for the first time, he spoke highly of his father.

In fact, during an event organized by Star Sports in Mumbai, the host of the show asked the fans to guess the date of birth of Hardik Pandya, and one fan guessed the perfect date as 11th October. Interestingly, Amitabh Bachchan also celebrates his birthday on 11th October.

Hardik Pandya remembers his first meeting with Amitabh Bachchan

The host of the show told Hardik Pandya, “That day is Amitabh ji’s birthday! Did you learn anything from him or had any special encounter with him that you would like to share?” To which the Mumbai Indians (MI) captain said, “He is very big, it is a big thing to meet him.” I and my father met him for the first time probably in 2017 or 2019, when we won the IPL trophy. Then he said a line to Papa, ‘Hey, you have done a great job by giving such a wonderful child to the country’.”

During this event, Pandya also recited the famous dialogue of Amitabh’s blockbuster film ‘Shahenshah’ in his different style. Star Sports has shared the clip of this moment on its social media platform X, which is going viral at the moment.

However, the Indian all-rounder has announced his participation in the upcoming IPL 2024 starting from March 22. To prepare for DY Patil, he participated in T-20 Cup. He will lead five-time IPL champions MI in the tournament. He has recently reached Jamnagar to attend the event of the Ambani family.
