Today i.e. on 24th September, the Rest of India team for Irani Trophy 2024 has been announced. Rest of India is fully prepared to play against Mumbai. Let us tell you that Rituraj Gaikwad will be seen captaining the Rest of India team.

This important match will be played from October 1 to October 5 at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. In the upcoming match against Mumbai, while Rituraj Gaikwad will be seen captaining the Rest of India team, on the other hand Abhimanyu Easwaran has been chosen as the vice-captain of the team. Abhimanyu Easwaran is in very good form at the moment and he also made his mark in the Duleep Trophy 2024. Yash Dayal and Dhruv Jurel have also been included in the team.

However, both these players will be seen playing for the Indian team in the second Test match against Bangladesh starting from September 27 in Kanpur and that is why it seems very difficult for them to play against Mumbai in the Irani Trophy 2024.

Mukesh Kumar, Prasidh Krishna and Khalil Ahmed have also been included in the team as fast bowlers, while Ishan Kishan will be seen playing as a wicketkeeper. Recently, Mumbai has also announced its captain for the upcoming match. Ajinkya Rahane will be seen captaining the Mumbai team in the match against Rest of India. Under his captaincy, Mumbai won the Ranji Trophy for the 42nd time this year.

Apart from Ajinkya Rahane, experienced batsman Shreyas Iyer and excellent all-rounder Shardul Thakur have also been included in the Mumbai team. The best thing for the Mumbai team is that Thakur is fully fit and he will not only strengthen the bowling lineup but also the batting. Both the teams will be seen performing brilliantly in this important match of Irani Trophy 2024 starting from October 1.
