After the T20 World Cup, Rohit has said goodbye to the T20I format.
Indian cricket team captain and famous as Hitman in world cricket, Rohit Sharma, after winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, said goodbye to the shortest format of the game i.e. T20 International cricket.
On the other hand, now 37-year-old Rohit has spoken openly about his T20 retirement and has also taken a dig at those cricketers who, after announcing their retirement, take back their retirement and come back to play cricket. Rohit has said that in today’s time retirement has become just a joke.

This hasn’t happened in India, and it’s rare to happen here. However, I see players from other countries, they announce retirement and then take a U-turn. So, you can’t really know if someone has retired or not?
Rohit further said about his retirement- My decision is the final decision and I am very clear. It was the right time to say goodbye to the format I loved playing. I first played the 50 over format for India and then directly the T20 World Cup 2007. It was a good time to move on.
